Maturin, Griffon Maturin : Male Griffon, born 18.8.02, medium-sized

There s no doubt, Maturin must be the twin of Tramp in Walt Disney s well known film! The same street dog look, the same cunning and resourceful character and unfortunately the same bad experience of humans & Quite fearful when he arrived at the refuge, Maturin quickly forgot his fears and is now happy to let himself be cuddled by the volunteers - and he even looks for the chance to play. Maturin makes up for his reserve towards humans by a great sympathy for other dogs, whose company he appreciates very much. Maturin is good with children, a bit more shy with adults, but he easily allows himself to be domesticated if one takes the time to get to know him. He s a doggy who likes the outdoors and would be happy to have access to a garden, preferably fenced.

Mica : Male labrador,born 04/01/2002 large

Mica: Male Labrador, black, large Mica's not a bad boy, but it appears that he doesn't like anyone touching his food bowl. You can do anything with him except … bother him when he's eating. And taking in his imposing size, one can understand how food is sacred for this doggy, who's quiet by nature, and a bit lethargic. At the refuge, his nickname is Mr Tortoise. That'll give an idea of Mica's liveliness and interest in moving … Apart from that, sociable with other dogs, cuddly and affectionate (so long as one doesn't caress him during the three special minutes while he's eating, or alternatively do a bit of training on that point) … a chubby doggy, good and uncomplicated, for masters who prefer little walks to long hikes, and if possible ready to help him lose a few kilos by rationing him a bit. Mica would be the perfect companion of retired people or of someone living alone. At the refuge, he's never shown any ill will towards the people who feed him, but it would be better not to expose him to the company of children who might bother him while he's eating.
